After successful shows with LACUNA COIL in spring, amazing festival appearances at Graspop Metal Meeting, Vainstream Rockfest and Vainstream Beastfest the band now will rock German stages in November with Sweden’s SONIC SYNDICATE. We at Lifeforce Records are proud to announce the signing of Finland’s own OMNIUM GATHERUM to the Lifeforce Records roster!

Hailing from Finland, OMNIUM GATHERUM is a band playing fierce death metal with breathtaking melodies and progressive originality for people in the metal field looking for something different but still catchy. The moods and emotions swirling in the midst of the OMNIUM GATHERUM cauldron are the result of the good chemistry between the strong individuals and of course the countless hours on the road and in the studios during the years.
Formed in 1996, so far OMNIUM GATHERUM have released four albums and one ep (on Nuclear Blast Records, Candlelight Records and Rage Of Achilles) and have gathered a massive dose of praising feedback among the metal communities and medias with its every release and has also visited the official Finnish top-30 album chart with previous two albums. Latest albums have conducted the band to tour Europe alongside with bands like Dark Tranquillity, Swallow The Sun, Nile, Grave, Entombed, Caliban, Insomnium etc.

The 5th album (set to be released early 2011), and the first one for Lifeforce Records, shows the band that truly walks it’s own path proudly and shows some new exciting sides on identifiable character. Adult oriented death metal that it is…

“We’re very pleased to announce that Omnium Gatherum is now a part of the Lifeforce Records family. After a lot of consideration and negotiating with many parties, we came to a conclusion that Lifeforce is the way to go! They’ve been showing the right kind of interest in us for some time now and it seems that they have the same honest attitude towards music and mayhem as we do.

The material for the 5th OG masterpiece is now almost finished and we’re ready and 100% confident to hit the studio in the end of August. This time we’ve really put a lot of time and effort on the pre-production of the stuff. It’s going to be an epic and massive attack of ever flowing stream of Finnish “melodic death metal”, straight from the souls of black.

With uncompromising old-school thrash rhythms and potent electro-sounds, combining the hymns of modernity and tradition, A DISCORD ELECTRIC is the perfect metal anthem to the young and hopeless raging in a metropolis or in a redneck town all over the world.

Produced once again by long time friend Jacob Hansen, A DISCORD ELECTRIC, delivers the following 12 songs of pure ecstasy and genre-defining heavy metal music:

we finished recordings for upcoming full length MMX last month and are now waiting for the final master. we’re amazed by the sound of the mix and how everything turned out so far. this time we’ve been recording a cover-song as a bonus track for the limited digipak edition and there’s gonna be an itunes deluxe edition, which will feature extra material as well. more infos and details on the artwork and the tracklist will be up soon.
